Watch Sarah Meth cover The Smiths in session at End of the Road Festival
North London songwriter, producer, and vocalist Sarah Meth covered The Smiths' "I Know It's Over" at last year's End of the Road Festival.
The song – taken from the beloved British band's classic record The Queen is Dead – was part of Best Fit's secret sessions, which also saw performances from Gruff Rhys and Bill Ryder-Jones, Yo La Tengo, Ichiko Aoba, Clarissa Connelly, Jeffrey Martin, Jess Williamson, Julianna Riolino and Master Peace. Watch the cover in full below.
Meth curates the monthly Wishbone night where she invites artists she likes to join her in each playing a set, then additionally reworking material together - so there is always something new to be heard. Previous guests have included Mary in the Junkyard and Black Midi's Cameron Picton - follow her on Instagram for details of the next event. She will also support Horsegirl at their Scala in London on 29 June and is set to release new music later this summer.

Best Fit's secret sessions have become a key part of End of the Road each year, bringing together artists from across the line-up in a series of short sets, exlusive cover, collaborations, and live interviews and Q&As. Past guests have included Lucy Dacus, St Vincent, Wilco's Jeff Tweedy, Moses Sumney, Laura Marling, Patti Smith, and Frightened Rabbit - who played a now iconic version of "The Modern Leper".
End of the Road Festival returns in late August with a lineup that includes Self Esteem, Caribou, Sharon Van Etten and Father John Misty.
