Thirty-one years ago, Edwyn Collins released his debut album with post-punks Orange Juice, cutting his teeth into a career which has seen him become an alt-rock, if not near national, treasure since.

And here he is in 2013, performing ’31 Years’ for Best Fit, every bit as intriguing a live performer as back then. Collins’ latest album from which the track is lifted, Understated was released on 25 March.
