Leeds producer FINE teases debut album with sensorial cut "Empty Space"
Fin Vallance – AKA rising producer FINE – locks in the groove across woozy, euphoric found sounds and instrumentation in his music.
New single "Empty Space" sees the Leeds-based creative experimenting with multiple layers of found sounds and instrumentation and a finely tuned liminality between guitar music and downtempo electronica. It's a splendid indicator of what's to come from Vallance's debut record Then, Now, Until, due for a release this May.
“I worked almost exclusively as a solo producer and artist prior to last year," explains Vallance. "I wanted this album to be a step outside of my comfort zone. By tapping into the collective talent of [collaborators] Molly Rymer, Jess Edie and Jonah Evans, we were able to bring sonic characteristics to the record I never could. Molly’s folk infused vocals, Jess’ timeless R&B lead lines and Jonah’s jazz sensibilities, all allowed me to share influences outside of electronic music.”
