Young Fathers preview new album with fourth single "Rice"
Young Fathers have delivered new single "Rice" as the fourth outing from their Heavy Heavy album.
"Rice" is the trio's first outing of 2023, and is once again teamed with a David Uzochukwu-directed visualiser.
The new song will feature on Young Fathers' Heavy Heavy album with last year's "Tell Somebody", "I Saw" and "Geronimo" singles.
Heavy Heavy will follow 2018’s Cocoa Sugar album, and will feature 10 songs. They say of the title, "Heavy Heavy could be a mood, or it could describe the smoothed granite of bass that supports the sound… or it could be a nod to the natural progression of boys to grown men and the inevitable toll of living, a joyous burden, relationships, family, the natural momentum of a group that has been around long enough to witness massive changes."
"Rice" is out now. Young Fathers will release their Heavy Heavy album on 3 February via Ninja Tune, and it’s available to pre-order now. They'll play a sold out show at London's Roundhouse on 9 March. Visit young-fathers.com for a full list of dates.
