Watch Yo La Tengo cover Michael Hurley's "End of the Road" for Best Fit at End of the Road Festival
Legendary New Jersey trio Yo La Tengo performed their own take on folk singer Michael Hurley's appropriately titled song "End of the Road" for The Line of Best Fit at this year's End of the Road Festival.
The track, taken from Hurley's 2002 album Sweetkorn, was part of Best Fit's secret sessions, which also saw performances from Gruff Rhys and Bill Ryder-Jones, Clarissa Connelly, Ichiko Aoba, Jess Williamson, Julianna Riolino, Master Peace, Sarah Meth, and Jeffrey Martin.

Best Fit's secret sessions have become a key part of End of the Road each year, bringing together artists from across the line-up in a series of short sets, exlusive cover, collaborations, and live interviews and Q&As. Past guests have included Lucy Dacus, St Vincent, Wilco's Jeff Tweedy, Moses Sumney, Laura Marling, Patti Smith, and Frightened Rabbit - who played a now iconic version of "The Modern Leper".

The line-up for next year's End of the Road Festival - which runs from 28 to 31 August 2025 – is due to be announced later this week.
