Twisterella Festival announces its full lineup for tenth anniversary celebrations
Celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, the award-winning Middlesbrough music festival Twisterella have announced the final wave of acts joining them on Saturday 12 October.
Leading the announcement are The Howl & The Hum, who will take to the main stage at Teesside University for a special opening set as reverse headliners. Low Girl, hotly-tipped Crewe punks Christian Music, Cardiff-based post-punk newcomers Slate, and Leeds/Wakefield garage-rock outfit Tiger Island, will all joinalready announced names including festival headliners Chalk, Pom Poko and Martha, along with local favourites in the form of Be Quiet.Shout Loud!, Amelia Coburn and much more.
"We're delighted to welcome The Howl and The Hum back to Twisterella for our tenth anniversary. The band is much-loved in the North East and we are so thrilled that they will be getting us underway as our reverse-headliner for this year's festival. We can't wait to hear new tracks from their forthcoming album alongside some of their crowd favourites such as ‘Godmanchester Chinese Bridge’ and ‘Hostages’. They've built a real affinity with Twisterella and Middlesbrough in general over the past few years, so it's going to be a fantastic way to kick off Twisterella 2024," says Andy Carr, co-promoter of Twisterella.
Twisterella takes place across multiple venues in Middlesborough on 12 October. For more information, and to purchase a ticket, visit twisterella.co.uk.
