Troye Sivan announces forthcoming album Something To Give Each Other
Troye Sivan has announced the release of his highly anticipated third album.
Following the teaser of "Rush", earlier this year, Troye Sivan shares the new single alongside the announcement of his third studio album. The forthcoming release has been five years in the making, and follows from his second album, Bloom.
“"Rush" is the feeling of kissing a sweaty stranger on a dancefloor, a 2 hour date that turned into a weekend, a crush, a winter, a summer,” Sivan explains of the new single. “Party after party, after party after after party. All of my experiences from a chapter where I feel confident, free and liberated. Independent, yet somehow the most connected to the music and community around me.”
The accompanying video was helmed by Gordon von Steiner (Hermès Ski, Versace Man FW22, Dior Rouge, Louis Vuitton Cruise, Miu Miu), Sivan’s Creative Director, who worked with him on the visual palette for Something To Give Each Other, and Sergio Reis who worked on BTS’ “Black Swan” served as choreographer.
The album features writing contributions from the likes of Oscar Görres (Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Sam Smith), Ian Kirkpatrick (Dua Lipa, Britney Spears), Leland (Selena Gomez, Ava Max) and Styalz Fuego (Khalid, Imagine Dragons).
Troye Sivan recently starred in the HBO drama series The Idol, which was created by The Weeknd and Sam Levinson. He also covered George Harrison's "My Sweet Lord" for the finale of the series.
Something To Give Each Other is set for release on 13 October via EMI Music Australia. Pre-orders are available now.
