Tony Njoku unveils Space Afrika collaboration, "On The Back Of Forgiveness"
Tony Njoku has joined forces with Space Afrika on new track, "On The Back Of Forgiveness", which previews his second album, All Our Knives Are Always Sharp.
"“On The Back Of Forgiveness” explores the struggle between love, forgiveness, and self-preservation. The lyrics reflect a journey of personal growth, where the speaker confronts past mistakes. The imagery of a "lover’s heart and a loaded gun armed with forgiveness" embodies both vulnerability and strength," Njoku says of the song.
"Adding to the emotional depth of the track is Joshua Inyang of Space Afrika, whose vocal performance enriches the song’s themes of introspection, struggle, and transformation," he continues. "Ultimately, the song conveys a message of strength and self-determination, urging movement forward ("So still set sail, you can’t fight will") rather than being trapped by past wounds. It’s about learning from pain, letting go, and reclaiming power choosing to move forward with resilience rather than being defined by past hurt."
All Our Knives Are Always Sharp will be released on 11 July via Studio Njoku.
