tibia announce debut album, See what heaven looks like now
Stockholm duo tibia (consisting of Vide Willemark and Elias Sahlin) have announced their debut album, See what heaven looks like now, alongside the release of new single, "Loud with you (Angel)".
Speaking on the release of their new single, tibia commented: "Loud with You (Angel) takes place on a Saturday that also happens to be the last day on earth. You’re a bit hungover from yesterday, you're trying to build up courage to head out into the night while also knowing that this is your last chance. Express your secret love, unveil your deepest secrets and let out the angel you’ve always wanted to be. There’s a rooftop party in the city with a big clock on the wall - it’s counting down the minute. You only have 120 minutes, 119 minutes, 118 minutes.. fuck, I need you oh so bad. For what is a Sunday if not the end of the world?"
On their forthcoming debut album, tibia added: "Just like everything that is tibia, this album is rooted in our need to let go, to chase kicks and write songs with no hesitation. It’s fun and loud! At the same time it’s also low-key sad and very emotional. Heartbreaks and headaches are the best and worst excuses for a good night out. No regrets. These are songs that we needed. tibia will forever be a cute little band aid to us and anyone having a bad day/week/year/life. Welcome to our heaven, can’t wait to be the pretty little angels by your side <3".
