The Idol, a forthcoming HBO series co-created by The Weeknd, Euphoria's Sam Levinson and Reza Fahim, will reportedly premiere in June.
After sharing multiple teaser trailers for the show last year, it's been reported by Naver that a HBO representative has revealed that The Idol will premiere on HBO Max in June.
The Idol, co-created by The Weeknd, Euphoria's Sam Levinson and Reza Fahim, will star The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, Lily Rose-Depp, BLACKPINK's Jennie, Troye Sivan, Moses Sumney, Mike Dean, Dan Levy, Rachel Sennott, Hank Azaria, Hari Nef and more.
It'll follow a female pop singer who gets romantically involved with an LA club owner who is also the leader of a secret cult.
At the end of 2022 The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" became Spotify's most-streamed song of all time.
