
The Weather Station, Emma-Jean Thackray and Joan As Police Woman among new names for EFG London Jazz Festival
EFG London Jazz Festival has announced a new batch of names for its 2025 edition, which takes place from 14-23 November.
EFG London Jazz Festival producers Serious have announced that acclaimed poet, activist and performer aja monet will be the Artist in Residence for 2025. As part of the residency, aja monet will lead a series of activities, including a live reading and Q&A session, and a workshop with the Barbican Young Poets, offering a unique opportunity for emerging voices to learn from her powerful, politically engaged practice. The residency will culminate in a special performance at the Barbican on 14 November.
Joan As Police Woman, The Weather Station, Ana Carla Maza, Herbert & Momoko, Marius Neset, Emma-Jean Thackray, Hermeto Pascoal, Jasmine Myra, and Bill Frisell Trio, are among the newest additions to the lineup, joining the likes of Tune-Yards, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Hiromi, and more.
