EKKAH bring all of the lights for their joyous Hackney show last night
Backed by a solid rhythm section and full of lustrous pop melody, EKKAH delivered a glittering disco-funk set to a swaying, entranced crowd in Hackney last night.
Continuing their tradition for faultless performances, Best Fit favourites EKKAH's sleek after-hours pop went down superbly with the primed audience in London's Oslo last night (7 April). With All Saints having performed their triumphant comeback show earlier in the week, it felt like just the right time for the Birmingham duo's '90s-infused disco pop.
"Are you feeling sparkly?!" one of the two Rebeccas asked the East London crowd before launching into their most celebrated track to date, "Last Chance to Dance" - and their silk-smooth vocals followed, as they did on every number throughout the night. There was no shortage of sass and melodies, not to mention synchronised dance moves.
Armed with a flashing light-up tambourine, gleaming disco ball above, and, obviously, a brief sax solo - EKKAH brought more than enough sparkle, with plenty to share.
