The first image of Industry's Marisa Abela as Amy Winehouse in the Sam Taylor-Johnson-directed biopic Back to Black has been revealed.
Back in July last year it was reported that Marisa Abela (Industry) was a possible favourite to play the lead role in Back to Black, a biopic about Amy Winehouse that has been teased by the late singer's father Mitch Winehouse since 2020, and will be directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson (Fifty Shades of Grey, Nowhere Boy, A Million Little Pieces).
Today (13 January) Studiocanal has revealed the first image of Abela as Amy Winhouse, writing, "One of music’s greatest artists, Amy Winehouse, comes to the big screen in Sam Taylor-Johnson’s Back to Black. With cameras rolling from next week, we’re thrilled to release this first look at rising star Marisa Abela as Amy."
