The Beths preview new album with third single "Knees Deep"
The Beths have released a third single from their Expert In A Dying Field album titled "Knees Deep".
Following the release of previous singles "Expert In A Dying Field" and "Silence Is Golden", the New Zealand group have delivered a third cut titled "Knees Deep", which lands with a video directed by Callum Devlin and Annabel Kean.
The band's Liz Stokes says of the track, "I'm the kind of person who wants to go swimming, but takes like ten minutes to get all the way into the cold water, slowly and painfully. I hate this about myself, and am kind of envious of people who can just jump straight in the deep end. In a shocking twist, this is also a metaphor?! For how I wish I was the kind of person who was brave and decisive instead of cautious and scared."
Expert In A Dying Field will follow the band's 2020 second album Jump Rope Gazers, and most of it was recorded at guitarist Jonathan Pearce’s studio in Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa (Auckland, New Zealand) late last year.
"Knees Deep" is out now. The Beths' Expert In A Dying Field album will arrive via Carpark Records on 16 September, and is available to pre-order now.
