The Avalanches have shared a statement cancelling their remaining US and Canada shows due to "serious illness", and apologised to fans for the situation.
Over the weekend The Avalanches cancelled their current North American tour with eight shows to go due to "serious illness".
In a statement shared on socials, The Avalanches wrote, "Unfortunately due to serious illness we have had to make the heartbreaking decision to cancel our remaining US and Canadian shows to return home. Thank you to everyone who has made this tour so joyous, and apologies to everyone whoo had tickets for the remaining shows. All ticket holders will be contacted directly with refund details."
The cancelled shows include Chicago (1 October), Detroit (2 October), and this week's shows in Toronto, Montreal, Washington DC, New York, Boston and Philadelphia.
The Avalanches haven't released new music since featuring on Cola Boyy's "Don't Forget Your Neighborhood" single last year.
