Taylor Swift unveils new live version of "Cruel Summer"
In celebration of TAYLOR SWIFT | THE ERAS TOUR debuting in cinemas, Taylor Swift has released a live version of the track "Cool Summer".
Swift posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, to thank fans for all of their support and reactions to the concert film.
“What a truly mind blowing thing you’ve turned The Eras Tour Concert Film into,” she wrote. “I’ve been watching videos of you guys in the theaters dancing and prancing and recreating choreography, creating inside jokes, casting spells, getting engaged, and just generally creating the exact type of joyful chaos we’re known for."
Revealing a standout moment from the tour – "One of my favorite things you’ve done was when you supported Cruel Summer SO much, I ended up starting The Eras Tour show with it" – she went on to reveal that she would be treating fans to new versions of the song.

"For old times sake, I’m releasing the live audio from the tour so we can all shriek it in the comfort of our homes and cars PLUS a brand new remix by @LPGiobbi," she added. The song originally featured on Swifts 2019 seventh studio album, Lover. The track was never an official single, but amidst The Eras Tour, and Swift's never-ending popularity, the song has found itself going viral on TikTok.
The new remix and live version of "Cruel Summer" comes ahead of her next re-recorded album, 1989 (Taylor’s Version), which is set for release on 27 October.
