Taylor Swift to direct first feature film with own script for Searchlight Pictures
Taylor Swift is set to direct her first feature-length film for Searchlight Pictures using her own original script.
After expressing her desire to "write and direct a feature" film at Tribeca Film Festival back in June, it's been revealed that she's doing just that. The plot and cast are still under wraps, but Variety reports that Swift's feature directorial debut will be for an original script of her own, and will be produced by Searchlight Pictures (Nomadland, The Shape of Water).
Searchlight Pictures presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield said, "Taylor is a once in a generation artist and storyteller. It is a genuine joy and privilege to collaborate with her as she embarks on this exciting and new creative journey."
Yesterday (8 December) Taylor Swift unveiled the behind the scenes video for her award-winning, self-directed short film for "All Too Well".
