Sorry release new single "Closer"
Sorry have shared a fourth outing from their new album Anywhere But Here titled "Closer".
"Closer" will appear on Sorry's Anywhere But Here album with previous singles "Key To The City", "Let The Lights On" and "There's So Many People That Want To Be Loved", and is teamed with a video directed by Asha Lorenz and Flo Webb.
Sorry say of the new release, "The lyrics in "Closer" came quickly in one gulp, it felt as if I was talking through quite a few people that had hurt me and me hurting people too. It’s about the person that we are made into sometimes by experiences or desire, and the shame that comes with that. It also is about addiction and the circular spiral of its pattern, rotating and returning. We wanted it to sound like a song from a NYC band in the noughties and the sound developed from there."
Anywhere But Here will follow the band's 2020 debut album 925, and was produced by Sorry's Louis O’Bryen and Asha Lorenz, as well as Ali Chant and Portishead’s Adrian Utley in Bristol.
"Closer" is out now. Sorry's Anywhere But Here album will be released via Domino on Friday (7 October), and is available to pre-order now. They'll play London's Electric Brixton on 2 November. Visit sorryband.co.uk for more information.
