Sampha is set to host Wave Therapy, the brand new radio series airing on Apple Music
Hosted by the acclaimed singer, songwriter and producer, the special series will feature an initial four episodes airing weekly with the debut episode airing next Tuesday (17 October).
The Apple Music 1 show launches in the run up to the release of Sampha’s highly-anticipated second album, LAHAI.
In the first four episodes Sampha will give listeners a unique insight into the making of his new album, sharing what and who inspired the record. He’ll also welcome friends, collaborators and artists he admires onto the show in a mix of live sessions, conversations, back-to-back mixes and genre deep-dives.
“These shows are going to be part exploration – venturing into subjects, genres of music, ideas and things I'm interested in – and, part documentary, a kind of snapshot of my process in the studio with collaborators, jamming," Sampha says. "In fact, some of the songs on my new record, LAHAI, were inspired by the making of these radio sessions. It's cool to have that recorded and to be able to share a little bit of the vibes I was feeling and the things we were going for at the time.”
Wave Therapy will debut on 17 October at 2pm BST. Listen live for free here or anytime on-demand with an Apple Music subscription.
