Paul Mescal recites lyrics to Taylor Swift’s "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" for Valentine's Day
To coincide with Valentine's Day today, a video of Paul Mescal giving a reading of Taylor Swift's huge break-up hit "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" has been released.
In a new video shared by W Magazine, 2023 Oscar nominee Paul Mescal covers Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together", but without the music. Instead it's an improv reading of Swift's lyrics to the song, and it lands on the most perfect day of the year - Valentine's Day.
Last month in an interview with Rolling Stone, Phoebe Bridgers revealed that a song on boygenius' debut album, titled "Revolution O", was initially called "Paul Is Dead", and is about "falling in love online." Although Bridgers didn't reveal who the song is about, fans believe it's likely about Mescal. Mescal previously starred in Bridgers' "Savior Complex" video in 2020.
