Paloma Faith, Kamille and Tinie Tempah join The Ivors Academy members senate
The Ivors Academy, the UK’s professional association for songwriters and composers, has announced the 40 songwriters and composers that have been elected to its members Senate.
Elected by its members, the group includes Ivor Novello Award winners Kamille and Tine Tempah, Fellow of The Ivors Academy David Arnold, Ivor Novello Award nominee Kal Lavelle and current Ivors Academy Chair and founding member of Gomez, Tom Gray. The Senate represents the views of songwriters and composers within The Ivors Academy as it advocates on issues facing its community including AI and fair pay.
“Alongside other issues, our new Senate will strengthen our voice in addressing the potential threat of AI, with lobbying the new Government to fix streaming and ensuring media composers sign fairer contracts," said Roberto Neri, CEO of The Ivors Academy.
