Nitin Sawhney and Gary Barlow to score Kunal Nayyar-led and Gurinder Chadha-directed film
Nitin Sawhney and Gary Barlow are set to work on the music for Christmas Karma – a Bollywood musical set in London and inspired by Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.
Kunal Nayyar from The Big Bang Theory leads the cast as Scrooge alongside Eva Longoria, Boy George, Billy Porter, Hugh Bonneville, Pixie Lott and Danny Dyer. Gurinder Chadha (Bend It Like Beckham) is set to direct and produce the feature and sees her return to the big screen following her time working on the Indian historical television series Beecham House. Chadha's last feature film was the 2019 coming-of-age story Blinded by the Light, which followed a British-Pakistani Muslim teenager whose life is changed after he discovers the music of Springsteen.
Shaznay Lewis will also be involved with the music for Christmas Karma, which is set to begin filming next week.
