MF Tomlinson announces We Are Still Wild Horses remix album
MF Tomlinson has announced the release of We Are Still Wild Horses in Dolby Atmos, and We Are Still Wild Horses - Remixed, featuring new interpretations of songs from his second album, which was released earlier this year.
We Are Still Wild Horses - Remixed is a collection of remixes, re-evaluations, reinterpretations and reprises of MF Tomlinson's critically acclaimed We Are Still Wild Horses album, from Voka Gentle, United Freedom Collective, Julia-Sophie and Whileman.
To coincide with the album's announcement MF Tomlinson has shared "A Cloud" (Julia-Sophie's Balearic Storm Mix). Speaking on the new remix, Julia-Sophie said: "This is a tribute to (and reimagining of) those late 80s downtempo dance tracks that turned Indie Kids into House Heads. When I made it, I closed my eyes and imagined myself floating in the stormy clouds that might gather over an end-of-season closing party in Ibiza, watching people make their way to the dance floors. From that moment, life and music was never going to be the same again!”.
Of the new Remixed project, MF Tomlinson said: "It's been very touching to hear each one of these remixes come back - these producers have laboured over these sounds the same way I did and found incredible new arrangements. I can hear how much time, work and consideration has gone into each one of these pieces - to have such talented people engage with the album on such a level is one of the highest compliments I could ever hope to receive. Thank you Voka Gentle, Whileman, United Freedom Collective and Julia-Sophie!"
MF Tomlinson is set to support James Yorkston and Nina Persson at Bush Hall in London on 5 December.
Upgraded to Dolby Atmos for the headphones and Remixed for the dance floors, the two new versions of We Are Still Wild Horses will be released on 24 November via PRAH Recordings.
