Maxïmo Park announce special 'Vote Maxïmo' election night show in aid of local foodbanks
Maxïmo Park have announced that they will be playing an intimate election night show at The Star & Shadow Cinema in Newcastle on 4 July.
Donations to the Newcastle West End Foodbank will be encouraged on the door, on a night that the band have promised to debut new music from their forthcoming album, Stream of Life.
Lead singer Paul Smith says of the event: "We wanted to premiere some new songs in one of our favourite DIY venues in our hometown. We thought it would be fun to have an election theme, given the date, but, on a serious note, try to raise a bit of money for a local food bank, since the poorest in society have suffered the most under the current government."
Pre-save now to be with a chance of winning tickets. Anyone that has already pre-saved the album will automatically be entered into the draw. Those successful will be notified by Wednesday 3 July.
