Manchester Orchestra announce new EP and film with opening track "Capital Karma"
Manchester Orchestra have shared news of their upcoming EP and film The Valley of Vision, and have released the opening track "Capital Karma" to accompany the announcement.
"Capital Karma" is the group's first outing since "No Rule" landed in November last year, and will appear on a new EP titled The Valley of Vision alongside five more tracks.
The Valley of Vision will also be teamed with a film created by Isaac Deitz using 3D-computed radiography technology, which will be shown at SXSW.
Manchester Orchestra say of the project, which follows their 2021 album The Million Masks of God, "Making The Valley of Vision was an exciting idea of what the future could be for us in terms of how we create. None of these songs were written with the band being in the same room in a live setting. They were really like science experiments that started from the bottom and were added to gradually over time. We’re intrigued by doing things the wrong way, or attempting things we haven’t done before and getting inspired by them."
Tracklist:
- Capital Karma
- The Way
- Quietly
- Letting Go
- Lose You Again
- Rear View
"Capital Karma" is out now. Manchester Orchestra's The Valley of Vision EP will arrive digitally on 10 March via Loma Vista Recordings, and the film of the same name will premiere on YouTube on 9 March.
