M83 delivers first six tracks from new album Fantasy
M83 has released the first six tracks from his upcoming album Fantasy as an EP titled Fantasy - Chapter 1.
After announcing Fantasy with the lead single "Oceans Niagara" last month, M83 has treated fans to Fantasy - Chapter 1, an EP made up of the first six songs from the record.
M83, real name Anthony Gonzalez, says of his DSVII follow-up, "I wanted this record to be very impactful live. The idea was to come back with something closer to the energy of Before The Dawn Heals Us. The combination of guitars and synths is always in my music, but it’s maybe more present on this new record than on the previous ones."
Fantasy - Chapter 1 is out now. M83's Fantasy album will follow on 17 March through Other Suns via Virgin Records France, and is available to pre-order now. He'll play London's Roundhouse on 29 June. Visit ilovem83.com for tickets.
