Lorde has announced her first solo release in four years, "What Was That".
Taking to her socials, after teasing new music last week, Lorde has announced her new single, "What Was That". This marks her first new solo music since releasing Solar Power in 2021, and her collaborations with Charli XCX on "Girl, so confusing", the Marlon Williams track, “Kāhore He Manu E”, and her cover of "Take Me To The River" by Talking Heads, which was released on the compilation album, Everyone’s Getting Involved: A Tribute to Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense.
"What Was That" currently has no release date.
