Loraine James releases new track "Choose To Be Gay (Femenine)"
Loraine James has unveiled new song "Choose To Be Gay (Femenine)", which responds to Julius Eastman's "Femenine" and will appear on James' Building Something Beautiful For Me album.
"Choose To Be Gay (Femenine)" is the second outing from James' Building Something Beautiful For Me record, following July's lead single "Maybe If I (Stay On It)", and responds to Julius Eastman's "Femenine" track.
The new album will be James' first since releasing a self-titled album as Whatever the Weather in April, and reimagines and responds to the works of the late Julius Eastman.
On 2 October, James will play select songs from the new album for a special llive performance with the London Contemporary Orchestra at London's Queen Elizabeth Hall at the Southbank Centre. Tickets are on sale now from southbankcentre.co.uk.
"Choose To Be Gay (Femenine)" is out now. Loraine James' Building Something Beautiful For Me album will be released 7 October via Phantom Limb, and is available to pre-order now.
