Win (!) Tickets to see Erland & The Carnival, Alessi's Ark + more
We are putting on a night which we have ’subtly’ curated ourselves to explore the idea of British folk music in 2010, giving us the opportunity of choosing a bill that contains some of the more interesting British acts we have come across this last year or so.
Straight from the horses mouth. Yes, Erland & The Carnival are to host a mini folk festival at Camden’s prestigious home to English Folk Dance & Song; Cecil Sharp House (it’s also where the rehearsals for Strictly Come Dancing take place, fact fans) this Sunday (26 September).
Playing alongside Erland & The Carnival are the wonderful Alessi’s Ark, jazz-inflected psych merchants The Soundcarriers and English blues revivalist Duke Garwood.
We have two pairs of tickets to giveaway for the show and, as an added bonus, both winners will receive a deluxe edition of Erland & The Carnival’s self-titled debut album. Tidy.
To enter, email competition@thelineofbestfit.com with the subject line “ERLAND & THE CARNIVAL” – please include your name and a contact telephone number. Competition closes Friday September 24, winners will be notified by email. Editors decision is final.
