Weezer have their own island on Fortnite
Weezer are the next musicians to feature on Fortnite, with their own puzzle island that plays their Black Album tracks.
Battle royale gaming sensation Fortnite has revealed its next installation that includes a famous band.
Last month the game hosted its first ever in-game concert with Marshmello, which The Verge reported was "the biggest moment in Fortnite’s history", with 10.7 million people online to watch the concert in the game.
Now the season eight update has rolled over, Weezer are the second musicians to have their music featured in the game. The game hasn't just given them a concert though, instead, Weezer have their own entire island dedicated to them.
The music looping on the island is from their new Black Album which landed today. Gamers can access the "amusement park" through the creative mode of the game.
And now it’s finally time to kick back & relax on your very own island in the sun. Stop by the one of a kind Weezer World amusement park in Season 8 of @FortniteGame. Find it in creative mode and listen to the sweet sounds of #TheBlackAlbum while playing #FortniteCreative pic.twitter.com/5o6msnsI66

Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo followed up the Fortnite announcement by revealing, "There's a song on the Black Album about Fortnite and Juuls".
The worlds of musicians and gaming have been integrating more often in recent years. In 2016, AlunaGeorge were the first musicians to play an in-game concert on Minecraft. Paul McCartney also wrote a song for the credits on Destiny, which later got turned into a holographic music video.
