Warmduscher sign to Bella Union and release new single "Wild Flowers"
Warmduscher have shared new track "Wild Flowers" as a first taste of their forthcoming album, and it coincides with them signing to Bella Union.
"Wild Flowers" is the group's first new material of the year, following their 2019 album Tainted Lunch, and arrives with news that they've signed to Bella Union.
The new song was written and recorded during lockdown, and was created when the group's Clams Baker Jr was tasked with writing lyrics for a song composed by band member Mr. Saltfingers Lovecraft.
Clams Baker Jr says, "I kept doing that freaking track over and over, trying to do a kind of Talking Heads, "Once in a Lifetime" thing. Then I just got to a point where I was like, ‘Ugh! Fuck this and fuck these motherfuckers!’ I sent the demo to the guys and they were laughing really hard. It's a blessing and a curse, because if we start laughing, then we know we’re happy with the song. Sometimes it messes me up because people say we're just jokers or whatever, but it's like Nah man, we put a lot of work and effort into what we're doing, but we don't take ourselves too seriously."
The song is also a first taster of the group's fourth album.
