Villagers announces new album due next year

Villagers has announced a brand new album set for early 2013.

Entitled {Awayland}, the follow-up to 2010′s Becoming a Jackal is scheduled for release on 14 January via Domino.

The Irish singer’s debut was nominated for a Mercury Prize in the year of its release and won an Ivor Novello Award a year later.

First single, ‘The Waves’, will be released on 22 October.
