Vic Mensa and Emmit Fenn find emotive tones in new track "Pouring Rain"

Emmit Fenn is an all-rounder, having delved into multiple skills, emerging on the music scene as a composer, singer/songwriter and producer.

"Pouring Rain" is the newest offering, revealing an emotive side to rapper Vic Mensa, who flawlessly details hardship and dark times, emphasised by Fenn's soulful voice and trickling piano.

Speaking about the track, Fenn explains, “The song to me, and why I originally wrote it in the first place, was just this realization that we don’t have to face problems in our life alone. There are so many outlets for support that we can forget about and it's important to realize that we're much stronger when we face them together.”

Vic Mensa leads the track, and projects his knowledge and diversity seamlessly.

Earlier this year Mensa featured on a Nile Rodgers track alongside Mura Masa, Cosha and CHIC.

Fenn explains his forthcoming project, The Gray Area, "Vic's story inspired a whole project of mine coming this fall called The Gray Area. It's amazing to be able to produce beats and sing hooks that other artists can collaborate and share their stories on. Mick Jenkins, Drew Love of THEY., Saba, Gallant and more are all artists I've been in the process of working with on it!"
