Portland 11-piece Typhoon return with new single “Darker” from their four movement epic Offerings
A concept album based on a fictional man losing his sight and ultimately his whole being, Offerings is a strong contender for the band’s magnum opus.
Sitting at a cool 70-minutes long and spanning 14-tracks, Typhoon’s latest musical foray is their most ambitious yet. The album is split into four separate parts (Floodplains, Flood, Reckoning & After Party) that represent the changing mental phases of the subject and ends ultimately in his grisly demise.
Offerings follows the Billboard topping White Lighter and several tours with indie heavyweights The Decemberists, Grouplove and Portugal The Man.
Singer Kyle Morton on the album: "I kind of wanted to make a dystopian record. If it's nothing else, it's that. If I could write my own one-line review, I'd think I'd want people to say, 'It's disturbing and unfortunately correct.’”
Typhoon will play the following UK dates:
Feb 27: London, UK @ Lexington (2nd date added)
Feb 28: Manchester, UK @ Deaf Institute
Mar 01: Glasgow, UK @ Broadcast
Mar 02: London, UK @ Lexington (SOLD OUT)
