Tusks goes big on turbulent new track "Last", the "feistiest" song from her debut LP Dissolve
Leviathan pop merchant Tusks has unshackled "Last", a new track previewing long-awaited debut record Dissolve.
The red-blooded ode ripples with post-punk furore and dank, murky rhythms - it's got weight but it's not overwhelmingly dark, with Tusks' vocals dragging the chorus in to the stratosphere. It's a beating, hypnotic offering from the One Little Indian-signed artist that recalls early Warpaint and provides an exciting contrast to the more tender moments on the record.
"'Last' is the feistiest track on the album," explains Tusks. "It was a bit of a 'fuck you' to a person at the time who I'd invested loads of energy and time into who'd messed me around."
Tusks will launch the record at a special show at London's Kamio on 15 November. Tickets are on sale now.
