Tunng are back with "Flatland", their first new music in four years
Folk-pop experimentalists Tunng have returned with mystical opus "Flatland", their first new track in four years.
"Flatland" sees the sextet draw from Edwin Abbott Abbott's 1884 novella of the same name, with acoustic and electronic elements working in harmony to conjure visions of fantastical worlds. Producer/co-founder Mike Lindsay says that it also features "the hookiest rolling finger pick of all time, inserted through a controversial three dimensional effects loop".
Tunng's most recent album Turbines was released in 2013, but there is more new music "on the horizon".
The group have also announced a new series of UK and Europe shows for October and November (they're playing Green Man Festival this summer too), including a headline date at London's Islington Assembly Hall on 25 October.
