Tove Styrke unleashes "Ego" video
Swedish pop upstart Tove Styrke has lifted the lid on her music video for recent single "Ego", and it's based on Lost In Translation.
Speaking to TIME, Styrke explained the creative decisions behind the "Ego" visuals:
"This city [Tokyo] is like eye candy and a very busy place with so much going on, and that was exactly what we needed to create: this feeling of being sort of out of place, isolated while surrounded by many many people... I had so much fun. I moonwalked with strangers in Shibuya crossing, did karaoke where they shot Lost In Translation, tasted ‘chicken butt’ (?!) and got to know so many new amazing people on this trip!"
The clip is directed by Rúnar Ingi and stars Christoffer Nordenrot.
"Ego" will feature on Styrke's upcoming sophomore LP Kiddo, which is set to drop 16 March via RCA/Chess Club. "Ego" is out now via the same means.
