Toro Y Moi announces new album with funky cut "Freelance"
Synth wizard Toro Y Moi is back with news of his forthcoming Outer Peace record, as well as sharing a funk-fuelled single, "Freelance".
Chaz Bear, aka Toro Y Moi, returns with a new distorted funk track "Freelance", complete with vibrant accompanying video directed by Harry Israelson that provides an insight to his music-making process.
Alongside his new single Toro Y Moi has announced his sixth record, the first since last year's Boo Boo album.
Outer Peace was written and recorded in San Francisco's Bay Area after Bear returned from a year spent in Portland.
Speaking about Outer Peace, Toro Y Moi comments, "This record is a response to how disposable culture has become and how it affects creativity. While listening, you might pay attention or ignore -- either way that's ok, this is music for a creative mind."
