Tom Odell has been taking his time making new music as his new single "If You Wanna Love Somebody" comes two years after his second album Wrong Crowd, which reached number two in the UK album charts.
His first single "If You Wanna Love Somebody" sees the singer/songwriter give a more uplifting sound.
The video, directed by Sophie Littman, rocks between a vibrant outdoor performance and gloomy, relationship issues.
Recorded at Strongroom Studios in East London and at Kensaltown Studios, Odell wrote the single himself, and co-produced with Ben Baptie and Martin Terefe.
Tom Odell performs his new single on BBC 1's The Graham Norton Show on 22 June.
