Thundercat is a sad samurai in his newly released video for "Them Changes"
Thundercat releases a new video for his track "Them Changes" showing a defeated and depressed samarai tortured by shopping channels.
Thundercat's new video, directed by Carlos Lopez Astrada, is a spaced out journey of a samurai's fall from glory. Beaten in battle, Thundercat the samurai slinks into abject misery, forced to watch shopping channels selling swords he can no longer use. Accompanying the track "Them Changes", Astrada creates a visual that compliments Thundercat's status as a bass-guru and the track's droning melodies. It's a beautiful concoction of intense visuals combined with the track's mix of synth, piano, jazz and Thundercat's own soft vocals.
"Them Changes" goes with the surprise mini-album The Beyond / Where the Giants Roams and features guest spots from Flying Lotus and Kamasi Washington.
