Thom Yorke plays a solo version of The Smile's "Free In The Knowledge" at Royal Albert Hall
A video of Thom Yorke playing a solo version of The Smile's "Free In The Knowledge" at Royal Albert Hall as part of a Letters Live show has been shared online.
"Free In The Knowledge" is a song by The Smile - Thom Yorke's band with Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood and Sons of Kemets' Tom Skinner - and in a new video shared by Letters Live, Yorke plays a solo rendition of the song at Royal Albert Hall as part of his first performance with a live audience since lockdown restrictions were eased.
Yorke dedicated the song to UK musicians, and mentioned Rishi Sunak's October 2020 call for struggling musicians to "retrain and find other jobs".
Back in May The Smile made their debut as surprise guests for the Live At Worthy Farm livestream.
Earlier this month The Smile took to Instagram Live to share a rehearsal video.
