The National stream trailer to new documentary 'Mistaken for Strangers'
As previously reported, The National are set to release a new documentary called Mistaken for Strangers, shot and directed by singer Matt Berninger’s brother. But now, with the trailer video currently streaming for the film, it seems the project will take more of a focus on Berninger’s film-maker brother Tom, as he tours for a year with his famous sibling.
“I do have a brother” the frontman says when asked how it feels to be the only band member without a relative in the group. “He’s a metalhead who thinks indie rock is pretentious bullshit.” Should make for interesting viewing then.
Mistaken for Strangers will premiere at New York City’s Tribeca Film Festival tomorrow (17 April), while the band’s new album Trouble Will Find Me is out next month.
