The Magic Gang's virtual rehearsal gets hacked in video for new single "Take Back The Track"
The Magic Gang have shared their third Death Of The Party single "Take Back The Track", which arrives with a video that sees their virtual rehearsal get hacked.
"Take Back The Track" is the third single to be shared from The Magic Gang's forthcoming album, arriving after previous outings "What Have You Got To Lose" and "Think".
It also lands with a fun visual directed by Georgina Cammalleri, and sees the band attempting to rehearse online before getting hacked repeatedly.
Director Cammalleri says of the video, "I knew I wanted to create a narrative for it that would play out entirely on one of the band member's computer screens. Directing remotely was intense. The smallest of details had to be thought through. Because of the internet lag, we’d rely on the pace of the track to time their responses. This meant that every move was considered and timed to the second so that it’d all sync up with the rest of the band, as they were all shot separately."
The band's second LP Death Of The Party will follow on from The Magic Gang's 2018 self-titled debut, and was recorded in Atlanta with producer Ben H. Allen (Deerhunter, Animal Collective, Gnarls Barkley).
As well as preparing to release their new album, the band have been creating personalised love songs for fans while in lockdown.
