The-Dream says Rihanna's new album is "super close" to being finished

The-Dream has revealed that Rihanna's new album is nearly finished during an interview on Hot 97.

Towards the end of last year, NME reported that Rihanna replied to a fan on her Instagram post revealing that her new album would be landing this year.

On Friday (25 January), songwriter, producer, and Rihanna collaborator The-Dream went on Hot 97 to be interviewed by Ebro Darden, and revealed that the new Rihanna album is nearly finished, "She’s cooking, she’s about done. She’s about done. Super close."

The-Dream didn't disclose any other information on Rihanna, but went on to reveal that Beyoncé is "doing something".

Yesterday (27 January), Rihanna's last album Anti turned three, having been released back in 2016.

RIhanna has hardly been quiet the past three years, having focused her attention on her makeup brand, fashion line, and filming projects. In November, a surprise trailer for her new movie with Donald Glover, Guava Island, was aired at Pharos festival in New Zealand.

Rihanna's ninth album is yet to be officially announced.
