The 1975 share new song “Love It If We Made It"
“Love It If We Made It" sees The 1975 reference Trump's Kanye West tweet, and the late Lil' Peep.
Following their return announcement of not one, but two upcoming albums, as well as their most recent single "Give Yourself A Try", The 1975 have been laying a little low.
Today they've debuted their new track, "Love It If We Made It", with Zane Lowe on his Apple Music Beats 1 show.
Matty Healy makes some interesting references in their new track, including a small ode to the late Lil Peep, "Rest in peace Lil Peep/The poetry is in the streets". Lil Peep was a US rapper who died in 2017.
Another of his references is Donald Trump's tweet to Kanye West when the rapper revealed his support for Trump, “Excited to be indicted/Unrequited/House with seven pools/Thank you, Kanye, very cool”.
The group announced their first of two albums, A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships, at the same time as earlier single "Give Yourself A Try". The first album is due to arrive later this year in October.
