Taylor Swift to release title-track from new album this week
Taylor Swift has revealed that she'll be releasing new single "Lover" from her upcoming album Lover this week.
"Lover" will be the fourth single to be shared from Swift's seventh album Lover, after "ME!", "You Need To Calm Down", and "The Archer".
Swift announced the news after accepting the inaugural Icon Award at the Teen Choice Awards 2019 last night (11 August), stating, "There’s so much I’m excited about coming up in the next 12 days until my album Lover comes out. I wanted to tell you guys tonight that on the 16th, on Friday, I have a new song called "Lover" coming out. I’m so excited."
Last week Katy Perry revealed that she was "open" to working with Swift in the future.
In July, Kelly Clarkson advised Swift to re-record her older songs in order to own her masters after Scooter Braun was announced to be taking over Big Machine Records, the label that put out Swift's first six albums.
