Taylor Swift swaps Stella McCartney coats for new evermore album artwork
Taylor Swift just announced her ninth album evermore, the sister record to July's folklore, and one of the main differences between the album covers are a new Stella McCartney coat.
evermore was announced earlier today (10 December) as Swift's ninth album, and will feature collaborations with Haim, Bon Iver and The National.
Swift worked on the album with folklore collaborators Aaron Dessner, Jack Antonoff, WB (William Bowery, aka her boyfriend Joe Alwyn), and Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, and it's landing at midnight EST tonight (5am GMT tomorrow).
When announcing evermore, Swift shared the album artwork, which is a very similar look to folklore, with Swift rocking a big plaid coat. Of course one of the main differences is that the folklore artwork was monochrome, while evermore is in colour. Furthermore, Swift's evermore cover shows her at the edge of a wooded area, while folklore sees her among the trees.
Swift's evermore coat is a luxurious oversized wool coat by Stella McCartney worth over £2,000 (via net-a-porter.com), and according to Taylor Swift Style, her folklore statement coat is another Stella McCartney number, albeit a slightly cheaper one at approximately £1,850.
Taylor Swift Style notes that she's been wearing a variety of Stella McCartney garments over recent months and leaning into her "British-ness", and it's kind of the Countryfile x Swift collaboration we never knew we needed, although not everyone on Twitter agrees.
