Taylor Swift marks the end of an era with closure of The Swift Life app
The Swift Life will be shut down next month, only a year after its launch, to mark the start of a new chapter for Taylor Swift.
Taylor Swift's app The Swift Life will be shut down next month a year after its launch with Swift's reputation record.
Yesterday (2 January) the app Twitter account revealed the news of the app being shut down. The statement explained, "It provided a creative and inclusive place for Taylor and her fans to connect with each other while expressing themselves in a uniquely interactive community."
The statement adds, "As the reputation era comes to an end, our time on The Swift Life will be ending too. The app is no longer available to download and on February 1 2019 The Swift Life will shut down. Current fans have until this date to utilize the virtual currency they've accumulated. Effective immediately, no new in-app purchases will be permitted.

The app allowed Swift's fans to access exclusive photos, videos, tickets, and Taylor Swift emojis.
Closing The Swift Life is the second act of reflection from the singer, as her reputation tour was made into a Netflix special just in time for Christmas.
