Tall Ships detail second record Impressions
Tall Ships have announced long-awaited second LP Impressions and shared the video for new single "Meditations On Loss".
The Brighton outfit recently shared the lead single (above), but held back on the details of the follow up to 2012 debut Everything Touching until today.
After their debut Tall Ships found themselves without a label or management, despite great reviews and dedicated fans, but they soldiered on.
Impressions has been constructed in a similarly DIY manner as their first; Tall Ships haven't changed course, recording on the edge of Dartmoor to do it all themselves: “We recorded and engineered it all," says keyboardist Jamie Field. "The DIY nature of it is one of necessity, not aesthetic."
Bassist Matt Parker adds: "If someone had just come to us and given us the money to make a second album right away, it would’ve been completely different. It’s a product of everything that’s happened over the past four years."
Tall Ships are currently touring the UK with Lonely The Brave - find out more.
