Susanna previews new LP with third single "Longing for Nothingness"
Susanna has returned with "Longing for Nothingness", the third single to be lifted from her upcoming LP Baudelaire & Piano.
"Longing for Nothingness" arrives after previous releases "Burial" and "The Dancing Snake", and sees Susanna debut her whistling skills.
Susanna says of the track, ""Longing for Nothingness" is such a melancholic statement - the true feeling of hopelessness described with beauty and viability. The power of these words actually gives me yearning to live instead of giving up. And last but not least, it’s my whistling debut."
Baudelaire & Piano was recorded at Stockholm's Atlantis Studio, and is inspired by French poet Charles Baudelaire. It's also Susanna's first solo album since 2018's Go Dig My Grave.
Discussing the new LP, Susanna says, "I wanted to approach this material in an almost dogmaCc way. To present the songs in a naked, stripped-down form, alone at the piano. These poems have so many layers and contain such rich expanding emotions to me."
